What personal data do we collect and why?

Name and address details

We need your name and address details for shipping your order. We use an e-mail address to keep you informed about your order and all the related activities. We ask for a phone number to reach you if there is a question about your order which makes it convenient to call directly.

You automatically agree to the statutory 7-year retention period of order data when placing an order. However, it is not possible for us to accept an order if you do not provide the above information.

Product reviews

Your IP address and the browser with which you visit our site are stored when you place a product review. We do this to detect spam.

Contact forms

We ask for your e-mail address when you contact us via the contact form. This is necessary so that we can mail you a response.

Analytics

Therefore, Google Analytics is used for our site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information. You can read later on this page what a cookie is and what we use it for. The information that Google collects for us is anonymized and encrypted.

Account

You will be asked to provide your email address when creating an account. The password of your choice is securely stored in our database.

An anonymized string created from your email address will be sent to the Gravatar service. The Gravatar privacy policy page can be found here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Gravatar will display the profile picture you uploaded through this service in your account and in context with any product reviews you have posted.

Cookies

When you leave a comment on our site, you can indicate whether your name, e-mail address, and website may be stored in a cookie. We do this for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in these details again for a new response. These cookies are valid for one year.

However, if you have an account and you log in, we will temporarily store a cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain any personal data and is deleted as soon as you close the browser.

Once you log in, we will store some cookies related to your login information and screen display options. Login cookies are valid for 2 days and screen options cookies last for 1 year. Selecting “Remember me” will save your login for 2 weeks. Logging out will delete login cookies as soon as you log out.

An additional cookie is stored by the browser when you change or publish a message. This cookie does not contain any personal data and only has the post ID of the item you have processed. This cookie expired after one day.

reCAPTCHA is a service from Google that uses cookies to identify visitors. By looking at how you use the internet and which commands you enter in the Google search engine, reCAPTCHA determines whether you are a human or a bot. This means that personal data such as an IP address is sent to Google for your convenience.

Embedded content from other websites

Messages on this site may contain embedded content (e.g. videos, images, messages, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor has visited this other website.

Who do we share your data with?

We share your data with the following services and companies:

E-fulfillers: this company handles our shipping. They have access to your name and address details and contact information. These are used to ship your package.

PostNL: they also get access to your name and address as well as your parcel to track & trace e-mails.

DPD: they also get access to your name and address details and an email address for sending your package and sending the track & trace emails.

Google Analytics: we only share the way you have used our site with google analytics. This includes which links you have clicked and through which way you came to our site. This information is completely anonymized and will only be used to optimize our website.

Payment provider: Mollie is our payment provider. You will be directed to a secure environment of Mollie during the payment of your order where you can complete the payment. If you want to read the privacy statement of Mollie, click here.

How long do we keep your data?

Account: When you create an account with us, the information you provide in your profile will be kept until you request us to delete it.

Product reviews: the information you entered in a product review will be stored forever.

Personal data: the data you leave behind when placing your order must be kept for 7 years according to Dutch law. The order data will be deleted automatically after this period has expired. Also, if you have an account with us, the data you have in your profile will be stored after these 7 years.

Analytics: The data we provide to Google Analytics will be stored until we cancel our account with this service.

Have your account deleted

If you want to delete an account, you can make a request via the contact form. We will send you an email within 30 days after the request in which you can confirm the deletion of the account. Please note, this mail may be delivered to your spam in-box. We will officially delete the account after the confirmation and you will be automatically notified that this has been done.

View my information

It is possible to request all the information we have from you in our database. For this purpose: send a request via the contact form. We will process these within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email. We will send you a link to download an export of your data after you have confirmed the request. If you want to change this information, please let us know so that we can do this for you.

In the event of a data leak, those involved will be contacted whose data has been leaked.
